Maintaining a healthy mind & body

The past year has taught all of us how important it is to make sure that we look after our health - both physically and mentally. Whilst our primary focus has rightly been keeping safe from the virus during this pandemic, many of us have not benefited from our usual day-to-day activity.

We thought we'd share a link to a brilliant series of workouts that you can try, regardless of your fitness levels (or age), from the comfort of your own home.

Remember to take care when exercising and if you don't already exercise regularly take it slowly at first. We'd love to hear how you get on.

Joe Wicks - Fitness Guru

In case you haven't heard of Joe...

Joe Wicks, also known as The Body Coach, is a British fitness coach who has helped so many across the country stay active during these lockdowns.

Joe first began his free online workouts during the first national lockdown in March, with the sessions attracting millions of viewers - but more importantly raising over £500,000 for NHS charities.

Although many of the workouts in the 'PE with Joe' series were aimed at children and their families whilst schools remained closed, there is a fantastic workout series for seniors.

These workouts are brilliant all year round, and because they require little equipment (at most a chair and can of beans) they can be performed in the comfort of your own home.
